Project 8 - Governor's Child Seat Program General Parenting Classes - Success by 6 Classes are held monthly to provide parents with up-to-date parenting information. Family Life Educators provide classes on topics that include discipline, children and stress, temperament, activities for parents & children, growth & development and self-esteem. Parenting Infants and Toddlers – Bright Start Parenting Class Series (Funded by the State Office of Child Care Services) This six week series focuses on the unique demands of parenting infants and toddlers. "Why Does My Child Act This Way?" - The Temperament Project (Funded through the Sioux Empire United Way) Just as every child has individual physical features – voice, smile, hair and fingerprint – each has a different temperament. Temperament is a child’s style of behavior; how she or he responds to people, objects, and events in one’s world. Understanding your child’s temperament helps reduce parenting stress and provides insight to effective discipline practices for your child. Stress Management for Parents Parenting can be very stressful. Trying to juggle all of the demands of life and parenting can be overwhelming.
