» Personal Philosophy
I very much enjoy Pediatrics, and have been practicing here in Sioux Falls for 22 years. I have no plans to move or retire in the next 15 years. It is my contention that a large part of what a Pediatrician is to do for families is educate parents on issues they are likely to see as their children grow up. That includes growth and development, diet, activity, safety, behavior, school, and immunizations. I try hard to involve parents in the decision-making regarding their children's care, when options exist. I believe in preventive medicine, and this will usually come out during well-child visits. It is our goal in the office to have patients feel they have one primary physician who is familiar with them, though we may at times offer appointments with other providers in order to get patients seen in a timely fashion.
» Scope of Practice
All pediatric care issues from birth to age 18. We deal with growth and development, diet, behavior, school issues, minor as well as complex medical illnesses, immunizations and serve as the medical home for patients who require multiple subspecialists in their care.
