Kohl's is offering Peanut's collector's edition books, plush, exclusive character outfits and CDs with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting 68 hospitals, including MeritCare Children's Hospital. The Kohl's Cares for Kids program focuses on supporting health and education opportunities for children. The products are the latest in a line of merchandise made especially for sale at Kohl's in support of children's hospitals.

When 18-year-old Mike Huckfeldt of Fergus Falls, Minn., was first brought to MeritCare in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, his parents, Val and Mike, Fergus Falls, wanted to remain anonymous and not even acknowledge that their son was hospitalized. Now, the pair is seeking media attention to extol the dangers of under-aged binge drinking.
