Online Education

Sanford offers online education for physicians, students, and allied professionals/partners. Listed below are the online courses offered along with a brief description of each course.

Some courses will require you to provide an e-mail address and, upon completion, will send an email to the appropriate department at Sanford Health.

Education Courses for Physicians/Providers

Anticoagulation Basics for Providers and Pharmacists
This course provides a basic overview regarding anticoagulation therapy. It addresses therapeutic ranges for Warfarin therapy; contraindications, warnings, and precautions of Warfarin and Enoxaparin therapy; and dosing protocols.
Audience: Providers who currently have, or are in the process of obtaining Sanford Hospital privileges.

PACS IDS7 Refresher
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Search for patient images on clinical application software (PACS).
  • View images on clincal application software (PACS).
  • Manipulate images on clinical application software (PACS).

Target Audience: Any user with current PACS access.

Education Courses for Allied Professionals/Partners

MRI Safety
This course provides education on safety in the unique physical environment of the MRI scanner in order to ensure that safety of the patient, their family and all associates entering the area is maintained at all times.
Target Audience: Individuals who may enter or respond to an emergency in the MRI area (zones 3 and 4)

PACS IDS7 Refresher
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

Radiation Safety Basics
This course introduces sources of radiation exposure at Sanford and reviews basic radiation safety procedures.
Target Audience: Radiologic Technologists

Radiation Safety Advanced
This course provides an introduction to the sources of radiation exposure at Sanford, the Sanford Radiation Safety Program, and a review of basic radiation safety procedures.

Radiation Safety: Fluoroscopy
This course outlines radiation risks and safety procedures related to fluoroscopy.
Target Audience: Radiologic Technologists

Radiation Safety: X-ray
This course reviews the sources and risks of radiation exposure and how changes to variables in x-ray diagnostics relate to radiation safety.
