Growing to meet the health care needs of the region means more than a new building. Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center offers expanded and new services to improve our patient experience above and beyond expectations.

Emergency Care

When you visit the emergency department at Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center, you are promptly assigned to a comfortable room, registered at the bedside and meet with a doctor. The emergency department is staffed by a doctor 24 hours a day, 7 days of the week.

We have two trauma rooms and seven exam rooms. Two rooms are equipped with negative airflow which keeps contaminants contained and protects others from getting sick.

Our hospital features state-of-the-art technology including portable ultrasound, electronic medical record, Lifeline capabilities and quick access to flight teams in Sioux Falls and Fargo.

The emergency department is in close proximity to radiology and the lab and those services are available all times of the day and night, including CT scans, MRIs and nuclear medicine.


Women's Center

When you're ready for baby, Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center is ready for you. Caring for women is nothing new to Sanford Aberdeen, however we are proud to now offer a beautiful women's center within our own hospital.

The women's center offers eight private suites for labor and delivery, postpartum care as well as regular gynecological services. The women's center is near surgical services and we offer a state-of-the-art nursery and special care nursery for babies.

The rooms in the women's center are comfortable and family-focused. Natural lighting, large tubs and showers, and other comforts make mom feel at home.


Cardiac Cath Lab

Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center is proud to provide cardiology and cath lab services to you and your loved ones. You don't have to travel for this kind of care.

Here innovative heart care is provided. We also maintain the latest in advanced cardiac diagnostic technology, which allows us to detect and treat heart disease sooner and more effectively than ever.

In the cath lab, emergency and scheduled procedures are performed to treat patients having heart attacks, in need of angioplasties, radiological procedures and other heart treatments
