Thank You!
Physical therapists with Sanford Health's Center for Joint Success demonstrate how to perform pre-op exercise prior to your total joint replacement. Exercises demonstrated here include the ankle pump, quad set, hamstring set, heel slide, knee straightening while lying in bed, and knee straightening while sitting. Performing these exercises prior to your total joint replacement is a great way to strengthen your surgical leg to encourage the healing process.
