Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a self-help organization patterned after Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). NA groups consist of individuals who meet regularly to help each other stop using drugs and to maintain a drug-free lifestyle.
NA has replaced the word "alcohol" with "addiction" in AA's 12 steps to reflect the disease concept of addiction. Through this 12-step program, NA provides a recovery process and support group for people who are quitting substance abuse.
