Does Being Overweight Lower the Risk of Getting Pregnant?

I've heard that if you are overweight, you have less of a risk of getting pregnant. Is it just a myth?
Chrissy*

What you've heard is a myth. The truth is that any girl having unprotected sex can get pregnant, no matter what shape or size she is. However, when overweight girls do get pregnant, they sometimes are at more risk for complications during pregnancy.

To reduce the risk of pregnancy and contracting sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), make sure your partner wears a condom every time you have sex.
