Cranberry Spritzer

Note: This recipe is especially for kids with diabetes, but it can be a nutritious part of almost anyone's diet.

This is a refreshing drink on a hot summer day. Be creative and try it with different flavors of juice.

Prep time: 1 minute

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz. cranberry juice cocktail
  • 7 oz. diet lemon lime soda
  • ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Fill glass with ice cubes.
  2. Add juice and diet soda.
  3. Mix well.

Serves: 1

Serving size: 10 oz. liquid

Variations and suggestions:

Be sure to pay attention to the amount of carbohydrates in the different juices you may use. (The soda doesn't contain any carbohydrates.) Garnish with a lemon, lime, or orange slice.
