Areas of Expertise
Dr. Roper has a particular interest in woman's health, pregnancy and women's issues. She participated and managed a low income adolescent pregnancy program in the southern Maine area for over 20 years. Her true passion at this time, is how physicians and medical community respond to management of chronic medical conditions. She is passionate about thinking outside the box to improve "the right care, to the right person, at the right time."
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Roper believes that she, as a physician, has several roles for the patient and their family: an interpretor of the medical language and system; a resource for the tools needed to promote "wellness" including medications, procedures, referrals, education, support and comfort.
Hobbies and Personal Interests
In her spare time, Dr. Roper enjoys woodworking, her children and spending time in the outdoors. She particularly wants to become involved in the program of the DNR of "Becoming an Outdoors Woman." She loves to fish, but knows nothing about it so she is determined to learn.
