Dr. Lee offers clinical trials that focus on HPV(+) and HPV(-) head and neck cancers. In this manner, patients will receive innovative treatments in addition to the best current standard treatment. Dr. Lee received his formal undergraduate education at Stanford University and then went on to be clinically trained at the University of Iowa ENT residency program, which was ranked number 2 in the U.S. for 10 years.
Dr. Lee, who was honored in 2010 by the American Cancer Society for his research, has been studying the link between the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and the development of head and neck cancers. He is conducting a clinical trial to test the safety and effectiveness of a drug treatment on patients receiving radiation and chemotherapy for head and neck cancer. The trial will evaluate how a medication that can alter cell metabolism can affect the outcome for cancer patients. For more information on this clinical trial, click here.
