Sanford’s Level II trauma center is dedicated to continually improving trauma care through quality improvement programs, trauma prevention, and continuing education.
Dr. Glatt is certified as an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor and is a course instructor regularly.
Director of the Sanford Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Program
Dr. Glatt has a special interest and expertise in helping patients achieve sustained weight loss and resolution of comorbidities with weight loss surgery. Together with a multidisciplinary team, this program works diligently to improve health, quality of life and long term survival of patients struggling with obesity. He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and is designated as a Center of Excellence Bariatric Surgeon. The COE Surgeon designation recognizes his substantial lifetime bariatric surgery experience of over 600 cases, ongoing active weight loss surgery practiceof nearly 200 cases annually and commitment to quality and continued improvement of the care the bariatric patients. He offers the full spectrum of mimimally invasive bariatric surgery options including laparoscopic gastric banding, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and laparoscopic gastric bypass along with revisional surgery. He has completed the Advanced Surgeon Training Program on the Lap Band Adjustable Gastric Band System. He regularly provides seminars for patients and other healthcare providers on weight loss and metabolic surgery.

Dr. Glatt believes in quality training and education, and teaches medical students, physician assistants and residents during clinical experiences. He serves on the clinical mentoring program for USD medical students.
