Research
2005: Dana Farber/Harvard Cancer Center, Boston, MA
Analyzed outcome of patients undergoing autologous bone marrow transplantation for multiple myeloma with focus on infused cell dose.
2004: Massachusetts General Hospital Aphresis Service, Boston, MA. Demonstrated that monoclonal antibodies such as Rituximab can achieve therapeutic efficacy in-vivo despite subsequent plasma exchange. Published in the "American Journal of Clinical Pathology" in 2006. Performed a systematic review of IVIG usage. Reaearch results were published in 2006 in the journal "Transfusion" and have served as benchmarks for various approval bodies for recommendations regarding IVIG use.
1997-2001: German Hodgkin Lymphoma Study Group, Cologne, Germany. Conducted clinical research within the framework of the randomized clinical trials of Hodgkin Lymphoma in Germany. The German Hodgkin Lymphoma Group is the largest cooperative treatment group for Hodgkin Lymphoma in the world. Personal research results were presented as an oral lecture as one of the top 5 abstracts on Hodgkin Lymphoma at the American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA in 2003. Published as full paper in the jourmal "Leukemia and Lymphoma" in 2005.
