Left Atrial Pressure Monitoring to Optimize Heart Failure Therapy
The purpose of this research is to study a new way to help treat heart failure (HF). This study will collect information on a new way to manage heart failure called the Left Atrial Pressure (LAP) Monitoring Systems. Two types of study devices are being used for this study. One is called the HeartPOD® System. The other, referred to as the LAP Combo System, can be one of two devices called the Auricle™ System or the Promote® LAP System. The Auricle is a standard CRT-D (Cardiac Re-synchronization Therapy + Defibrillator) device. The Promote® is a CRT-D with an additional feature called Impedance Monitoring. This additional feature measures the fluid in your lungs through your CRT-D device.
