Study ID: SH Understanding and Improving Treatment of Head and Neck Cancer
Title:

Understanding and Improving Treatment of Head and Neck Cancer

Description:

The overall goal of this project is to identify epidemiologic and genetic factors that are associated with predisposition to and progression of head and neck malignancies. Participants in this research study have previously been scheduled to have a surgical procedure (biopsy or excision) done in which a doctor will remove tissue from the participant’s body. Some or all of this tissue will be used for appropriate diagnostic tests to evaluate health conditions. If tissue remains that will not be used for these tests (excess tissue), we would like to use it for current cancer research or store it for use in future research by including it in the Sanford tissue repository.
