Streamlining the Growing Population of Patients on Contact Precautions for Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus
The purpose of this study is to find a simple way for removing the label of MRSA on patients who have had this in the past and potentially be able to take them off contact isolation (gloves and yellow gowns) if admitted in the hospital. Participants in this study have been identified to carry MRSA in their nose or skin in the past or have had a history of MRSA infection. This study aims to identify prevalence and clinical predictors of persistent MRSA colonization.
