Title:

Randomized Phase II Trial of Carboplatin, Paclitaxel, Bevacizumab, with or without Everolimus for Therapy of Metastatic Malignant Melanoma

Description:

The purpose of this study is to find out what effects (good and bad) the combination of study drugs carboplatin, paclitaxel, and bevacizumb or the combination of carboplatin, paclitaxel, bevacizumab, and everolimus has on melanoma. In addition this study aims to find out what effects the different combinations of study drugs have on the immune system and the way the tumor grows. Participants in this study have stage IV malignant melanoma (melanoma that has spread to other parts of the body) which cannot be removed with surgery.
