Chemotherapy Toxicity in Elderly Women with Ovarian, Primary Peritoneal or Fallopian Tube Cancer
The major goal of this study is to see if physicians can predict how women will tolerate and complete chemotherapy as prescribed using simple assessments looking at the ability to do activities of daily living. Another goal of the study is to look at how chemotherapy works in older women with this cancer. This will be studied by asking patients to allow some research blood to be drawn in order to measure the amount of chemotherapy drug(s) in their blood. Patients will also be asked questions before the first chemotherapy and after the second and fourth cycles to see how they are doing overall. The study doctors will be reviewing this patient-reported information in relation to patients’ clinical treatment progress.
