Randomized Phase III Trial of Cisplatin and Tumor Volume Directed Irradiation Followed by Carboplatin and Paclitaxel vs. Carboplatin and Paclitaxel for Optimally Debulked, Advanced Endometrial Carcinoma

Description:

The purpose of this study is to determine if radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy offers a benefit over chemotherapy alone for women with advanced stage endometrial cancer. It is not clear whether giving chemotherapy alone or together with radiation is the best treatment for this disease. Researchers are hoping that the outcome of this study will increase overall survival for women with advanced stage endometrial cancer.
