Title:

Hodgkin Disease Banking Study

Description:

The goal of this study is to develop a resource bank of biologic specimens including tumor, nucleic acid, serum and plasma bank from clinically well-characterized patients with Hodgkin Disease (HD). This biology bank will provide investigators with biologic samples for research directed toward enhancing the understanding the biology of HD and developing novel approaches to the treatment of this disease. An additional objective aims to establish a biologic specimen repository and database linked to clinical features and outcomes from well-characterized cohorts of children and young adults with HD. Specimens will include tumor tissue, tissue arrays, lymphoblastoid cell lines, host DNA, tumor and host RNA, serum, and plasma to facilitate biology objectives. The final objective of this study is to provide specimens from diagnosis, early response evaluation, completion of chemotherapy and radiation, long term follow-up and relapse to researchers studying the biology of HD as it pertains to prognostic factors for early response, relapse, long term outcomes and to the identification of new biological targets for therapy.
