Transplant Support Group

Sanford Transplant Services offers a Transplant Support Group that meets the second Tuesday of each month. The group is a way for the participants to express concerns or questions regarding kidney transplantation in a safe, confidential environment. Participants have found it helpful to share ideas and stories about issues such as:

  • Surviving the wait for a kidney
  • Keeping track of medications
  • Family issues
  • Coping with illness
  • Approaching family/friends about living donations
  • Spreading the word about transplant/donation

The group is facilitated by a member of the transplant team, but the topics discussed and information shared are up to the group members. You are welcome to join us at any meeting, and are not obligated to attend every time.

This group is held at Sanford BHC 1st floor Patient Education Room from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

If you are interested in attending any of our Community Health Education classes and will require assistive aids or accessible facilities, please contact Sanford at 234-5570 or TDD (701) 234- 6655 to request such aids. Please call in advance so arrangements can be made. All Community Health Education classes are held in handicapped accessible class rooms.
