My Brother Bit Me! Louise Welsh Schrank Being a parent of one child is a challenge.  But when that child turns into a sibling, new problems and possibilities arise.  Every day life is filled with situations that cause conflict between siblings--sharing toys, getting along with siblings, settling arguments with siblings.  This video will show parents how they can help their kids learn to solve conflicts on their own instead of demanding ready-made solutions presented by adults.  (19 minutes)
Shaking, Hitting, Spanking - What To Do Instead Stephen J. Bavolek, Ph.D This video is an intriguing title for a parenting video.  The underlying assumption to the title is that there are alternatives to hitting.  This assumption, however, is not always fully appreciated, is often challenged, is doubted, ridiculed, and rejected by many parents and professionals.  The only people who know spanking doesn't work and who truly believe in alternatives are the children: the unfortunate recipients of momentary parental anger, frustration, and an overall temporary sense of incompetence.  (30 minutes)

Stranger Danger Cambridge Research Group, LTD. Almost every parent is afraid of having a child kidnapped or turn up missing.  Many parents believe their child would not go with a stranger and hope that their belief will never be tested.  Though statistics make the chance of abductions by a stranger appear small, the parents of abducted children will tell you this number is larger than life.  Stranger safety should be taught to children just as they are taught about fire and water safety.  Like any other kind of learning, stranger safety rules need to be reinforced through conversation, role playing, and repetition. STRANGER DANGER is a thorough program that shows parents and care givers how to teach safety rules to childr; how to help children recognize who is or isn't a stranger; where to instruct children to find safety zones if they are scared or in danger; and how to prepare children to become streetwise to potentially dangerous situations.  The goal is to teach parents how not to scare children but to prepare them.  By knowing how to react to strangers, children could save their own lives in the event of an incident. This program is a must for anyone raising or caring for children. (30 minutes)
Today's Special - A Fresh Approach to Meals for Preschoolers Far West Laboratory Every day they are on the job, child care professionals can influence the lifelong health of children by helping them learn nutritious eating habits.  The first five years of each child's life provide a window of opportunity for caregivers.  Every snack, every meal, every day is important.  Children need grains, fruits, vegetables, dairy products and other sources of protein.  What children often get too much of are things like fats, salt, and sugar.  Consumption of too much of those foods as a child can lead to overindulgence as an adult and may increase the risk of cancer, obesity, heart disease, and other chronic conditions. (26 minutes)
