

Our dedicated flight teams are available 24 hours per day to transport ill or injured children and moms with high risk pregnancies by helicopter, airplane or ground to Sanford Childrens Hospital. Maternal-Neonatal Transport A maternal-neonatal transport team consisting of labor and delivery registered nurses is available 24 hours per day should transport become necessary. This team is supported by neonatologists (physicians specialized in the branch of pediatrics that deals with the diseases and care of newborn babies) and perinatologists (physicians specialized in the study of the life and development of babies during pregnancy) at all times.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Transport Our pediatric flight team is composed of a flight nurse and a paramedic. For children under the age of one month, the pediatric team is composed of an RN flight nurse and a certified nurse practitioner. This team is supported by our pediatric critical care team of pediatric intensivists (physicians specialized in the critical care of ill or injured children) at all times. ![]() Pediatric Care Unit Transport Team |
