Weir Pediatric Outpatient Center

The Weir Pediatric Outpatient Center at Sanford Children’s Hospital provides services and procedures to children who do not require a hospital stay. Our outpatient unit is staffed by: pediatric intensive care physicians Didima Mon-Sprehe, MD and Joseph Segeleon, MD, who specialize in sedation services, pediatric registered nurses, and a certified child life specialist.

Registration for your outpatient visit begins off the Carlson Great Hall in Sanford Children’s Hospital. Located on the 2nd floor of Sanford Children’s Hospital, our outpatient unit is open Monday through Friday.

If children will be receiving sedation for his/her procedure, they will meet a Pediatric Intensive Care Physician who specializes in sedation or an Anesthesiologist, along with pediatric registered nurses, and a certified child life specialist.

Please note a pediatric registered nurse will contact a patient’s family the day before a scheduled procedure date to provide specific instructions about his/her visit.
