Diagnostic Referral Center

The Diagnostic Referral Center for Children is designed to address the needs of difficult-to-diagnose or medically complex children.

The clinic offers multi-specialty evaluations and facilitates communication between families, physicians and Sanford Children's.  Physicians are able to refer their patients to the DRC.  Working together, determinations can be made on which specialists or clinics need to evaluate the patient.  Parents are directly involved with their care of their child.

Located in the Sanford Children's Specialty Clinic, the DRC is led by Joseph Zenel, MD, Professor and Chief Section of General Pediatrics, Sanford School of Medicine of the University of South Dakota.
