Eight year old Ethan named Camp Bring It On. He said his idea came because he is stronger and can do anything. Ethan lost his battle with AML in July of 2006. Ethan was able to attend the first camp, had a blast and left a lasting impression on other campers and staff.
Camp Bring it On
The region’s only residential camp for kids with cancer!
The features that make Camp Bring It On a unique escape for kids with cancer are the very features that make it much like any camp for any kid, anywhere. Camp Bring It On is a residential camp for kids with cancer. All of the activities at Camp Bring It On are designed to let the children have fun and feel like carefree kids again. Campers participate in arts and crafts, hold talent shows, shoot paintballs at targets, archery, eat meals together, ride pontoon boats and go fishing. Campers also participate in Camp Bring It On Olympics and make s’mores around nightly campfires. They get to be normal kids. Which, for our campers, is anything but normal.

Our Staff Camp Bring It On is staffed by trained medical professionals from Sanford Children’s Hospital. Our Staff includes pediatric oncologists, certified pediatric oncology nurses, child life specialists and a host of specially trained volunteers. The staff works together to offer each camper the full camp experience, while still providing care for their medical needs.
Camp Lakodia Four Seasons Resort Camp Lakodia Four Seasons Resort is located on the south shore of Lake Herman, near Madison South Dakota, just 50 miles northwest of Sioux Falls. The camp facilities include eight modern cabins with air conditioning and complete kitchens, a lodge with a dining hall and grand reception hall, sandy beaches, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and pontoon boats.

Financial Support Financial support for Camp Bring It On is provided through the Sioux Falls Morning Optimists’ annual Un-Run event and the generosity of many others who support childhood cancer programs at Sanford Children’s.
