Infant Toddler Services

The first three years of a child’s life are extremely important. From brain research, we know that this is a prime time for building a foundation for social, emotional, physical, intellectual and language development. Children learn through relationships therefore, responsive care is vital for future learning.

The Infant/Toddler Program follows the philosophy of the WestEd Program for Infant/Toddler Care which believes that good care for infants and toddlers involves the caregiver being in tune with children's cues and that learning is child-directed, not adult-directed.  The Infant/Toddler Program is committed to improving the quality of care for infants and toddlers in child care.

Trainings:

  • Training opportunities for licensed or registered child care providers to meet mandated training requirements.

  • Class instructors strive to help caregivers obtain information and confidence in one's ability to provide quality care for children.
