Part of Sanford Health, Sanford Children’s Hospital offers:

• the most comprehensive and diversified pediatric care in the region
• the region’s only Children’s Miracle Network affiliated hospital
• the only Children's Oncology Group center in the region
• participation in an integrated network of more than 380 physicians and over 150 healthcare facilities

Our Comprehensive Team:

• Includes 16 general pediatricians, 30+ pediatric subspecialists, over 100 family medicine physicians and more than 300 specially trained pediatric staff


• Delivers care throughout an integrated network of clinics, including Sanford Children’s Specialty Clinic and numerous pediatric Sanford Clinics throughout the region


• Provides regular outreach services to the children in the tri-state region, reducing travel time and expense for our patients and their families


• Delivered pediatric services to children during patient visits that totaled nearly 100,000 in 2006

Our new Children’s Hospital!

• Thanks to a generous lead gift from Denny Sanford, we are in the process of building a dedicated children's hospital!


• The first phase of this building project was completed in June, 2006 with the opening of the Boekelheide Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
