The Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP)
Through the CCOP network, community physicians work with scientists to conduct NCI-supported clinical trials. This collaboration helps to transfer the latest research findings to the community level. Led by Principal Investigator Loren Tschetter, MD, the Sanford Cancer Center Oncology Clinic Medical Oncologists, Michael Keppen, MD, Miroslaw Mazurczak, MD, Robert Nelimark, MD, Eli Dib, MD and Sana Jeffreys, MD enroll patients in many research clinical trial protocols providing state-of-the-art therapies here through the Sioux Community Cancer Consortium, one of only 60 National Cancer Institute sponsored Community Clinical Oncology Programs (CCOP) in the United States. In addition, patients are enrolled in commercially sponsored cancer clinical trials available at the Sanford Cancer Center Oncology Clinic. |
