Our new Sanford Children's Hospital provides highly specialized healthcare for children in a state-of-the-art environment designed just for them and is the only free-standing children’s hospital in the region.
  Research has shown children heal faster and go home sooner when they are cared for in environments designed with their needs in mind. Our entire children’s hospital, or “castle,” has been built to promote healing in children and support families, providing:
- Private family suites with sleeping area for parents
- 76 beds for inpatients and outpatients
- Family centers on each floor, complete with kitchenettes, laundry, showers & vending
- Playrooms and teen room
- Castle-like theme with artwork and color schemes throughout the entire building. Each floor has its own child-friendly theme, from hallways to patient rooms.
