The Sanford Radiography Program in Bismarck promotes the following program effectiveness data:

1. Students will complete the program.
2. Students will pass the national certification examination on the first attempt.
3. Students will be gainfully employed within 12 months post-graduation.
4. Graduates will be satisfied with their education.
5. Employers will be satisfied with the performance of newly hired graduates.

Sanford Medical Center sponsors the Radiography Program in Bismarck. The school is a 22-month, hospital-based, certificate program. As the program sponsor, Sanford Medical Center has primary responsibility for the professional education program and grants the terminal award – the certificate.

Sanford Medical Center is located in Bismarck, the capital of North Dakota. It is a 238-bed, nonprofit hospital accredited by the Joint Commission.

The Sanford Radiography Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The Radiography Program at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND, is affiliated with three universities within the state:

1. University of Mary (Bismarck)
2. North Dakota State University (Fargo)
3. Minot State University

Students who are attending one of the schools listed above, and have completed or are nearing completion of the requirements for the degree in Radiologic Science, may apply for entrance into the program. Applications are accepted Nov. 1 – Dec. 1 annually. Applications must be postmarked by Dec. 1, to be considered for an interview. In order to be eligible to apply, students must have an overall college GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Accreditation

The Sanford Health School of Radiography is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The Sanford Medical Center School of Radiography’s current accreditation length is eight years. Sanford Health Fargo is accredited by the Joint Commission and is also recognized by the American College of Radiology as a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence. North Dakota State University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Sanford Medical Center Fargo School of Radiography is affiliated with North Dakota State University.

The Sanford Medical Center Fargo School of Radiography is open to all candidates who have satisfactorily met or will meet the following admission requirements:

1. Completed all internship prerequisite courses on at NDSU by the start of the internship, including resident credits at NDSU for transfer students;
2. Earned a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale by internship application deadline;
3. Been recommended by the Academic Director of the NDSU Radiologic Sciences Program.

If you are considered for the internship, you will be scheduled for a personal interview with the program director and school faculty. Up to six students are selected for admission each year. Selected applicants will be notified one week following the interview. A $250 non-refundable acceptance fee is required along with an acceptance letter. Student Policies

Students will read the Sanford Medical Center Radiography Program Policy and Procedure Manual during student orientation and have an opportunity to ask questions. Students are required to comply with all of the policies, rules and regulations of Sanford Medical Center (Sioux Falls). Upon completion of the policy and procedure review, the student will sign the acknowledgment form, which becomes part of the student’s file.
