Wiggin’ Out for Kids – It’s No Laughing Matter raised $11,380 in conjunction with the 2nd Annual Results Radio Cure Kids Cancer Radiothon!

This program is designed to allow individuals, businesses, and schools to assist in raising funds and awareness for Cure Kids Cancer at Sanford Children's Hospital.  While this is a fun program, it is done for serious reasons – to remind others that children are battling cancer, losing their hair and facing a very scary illness.

Fundraising Options:

  • Create your own personalized Wiggin’ Out for Kids webpage to do online fundraising
  • Use your collection bag in your Wiggin' Out Kit to collect funds from your friends, family, co-workers, etc.
  • Designate a day to dress down at work or school and charge a minimum of $1 to honor kids battling cancer - Another option is to wear a wig, hat, or bandanna to honor children with cancer. It is not mandatory to participate in the program
  • A combination of all of the above!

Amanda Ode

According to Amanda Ode, it takes “goodness, strength, and valor” to be a hero. Amanda Ode is a hero. She is 9 years old and is a brain cancer survivor. Although a bit small for her age, a side effect of the tumor found on her pituitary gland, she has endured more than most adults, showing courage throughout her ordeal. Now in the follow up phase of her care, Amanda looks back and states that the worst part of having cancer for her was chemotherapy, but the needle pokes were a close second. Amanda is a true Cure Kids Cancer Hero, helping to fight childhood cancer, so other kids don’t have to.
