At the age of 13 months, most babies are learning to walk and talk, and spending their days playing with baby dolls and teddy bears. But for Ashlyn Kerr, of Mitchell, SD, days were filled with chemotherapy and treatments for Neuroblastoma, one of the many forms of childhood cancer. The teddy bear she hugged was given to her by Children’s Miracle Network because of a generous Miracle Maker donor. Now 5 years old, Ashlyn is finished with treatment and only returns for check-ups every three months.
She is a Sanford Children’s princess and a cancer survivor!
