PETAL Program

The PETAL Program was developed to help patients and their families cope with both the physical and emotional aspect of a pregnancy loss or infant death. PETAL (Parents Embracing Time After Loss) team members include nurses, a social worker and a chaplain. By making a gift to the Sanford Health Foundation of Northern Minnesota for the PETAL Program, you play an important role in supporting families at an extremely difficult time in their lives, a time of healing after the loss of their baby. Guardian Angel

Guardian Angel is a program that gives patients and their families the opportunity to acknowledge a staff member or a volunteer who they felt gave them exceptional care. The patient or family member can recognize the Sanford Guardian Angel by making a monetary gift of any amount.

The first time a staff member or volunteer is recognized as a Guardian Angel, he or she will receive a Guardian Angel lapel pin to wear proudly. For each additional recognition, he or she will receive a recognition card. On the 10th recognition, the associate or volunteer will be presented with a gold Guardian Angel pin.
